My special qualifications include the investigation of complete female urinary incontinence, conservative and surgical treatment, the treatment of various types of gynecological prolapses, especially with “mesh” solutions.
During my years abroad, I gained a high degree of proficiency in laparoscopic surgical techniques.
I also have a “B” grade obstetrics and gynecology ultrasound qualification and an IOTA license.
More information
I graduated from Semmelweis University of Medicine in 1994, in 1999 I graduated in obstetrics and gynecology and in 2006 in Anesthesia and Intensive Care.
I worked in the obstetrics and gynecology department of the Péterfy Sándor Street Hospital in Budapest for 13 years.
Then I spent 5 years in Norway, in the urogynology profile department of Stord Hospital, where I gained special knowledge in the reconstruction and treatment / resolution of urinary incontinence in different types of gynecological prolapses.
In 2012, I applied for and was awarded the status of Head of the Department of Urogynecology at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Bergen (Haukeland University Hospital, Norway).
This university clinic is also a regional center for oncology and obstetric pathology, with approximately 5,500 births per year. Here I had the opportunity to learn obstetric procedures that are not fashionable in other parts of Europe, such as “tail” childbirth, deriving twin births, using obstetric forceps. The education of young doctors and the further training of novice specialists were also an important part of my clinical work.
In 2013, I contracted with Telemark Hospital in Norway to learn the surgical technique of the DaVinci robot. I also ran the urogynecology department here while obtaining a DaVinci robot surgeon’s license.
I am currently an active member of the following medical societies:
-
- Norwegian Medical Chamber
- Swedish Medical Chamber
- Norwegian Society for Diagnostic Ultrasound in Medicine
- AAGL (Advancing Minimally Invasive Gynecology Worldwide
- ICS (International Continence Society)
- IUGA (International Urogynecological Association)
- Hungarian Medical Chamber
- Hungarian Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care
- Hungarian Society of Gynecologists
- Hungarian Menopausal Society
- Hungarian Obstetrics and Gynecology Ultrasound Society
The many years I have spent in Scandinavia have confirmedme the view I have always felt is right, namely that the doctor and his patient are equal partners who work together for a goal, especially to be care for pregnancy, childbirth or treating an illness or surgery. I try to pass on this attitude to my young colleagues as well.
In addition to my profession, my family: my wife, my two sons, my mother, and my brother and his family give me the greatest happiness. My extensive circle of friends all over the world also plays a very important role in my life.
My favorite sport is tennis. I speak Russian, Ukrainian, advanced Norwegian, intermediate Swedish and English.

I went to medical school in Estonia, graduating in 1994. From the very first minute, my goal was obstetrics and gynecology, and by the time I was five, I was completely confident that this would be my profession. Arriving in Hungary, I started as a free trainee at the 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Semmelweis University, headed by Professor Zoltán Papp, and then continued my professional activity here.
