Dr. Edina Lukács
I received my general medical degree from the University of Debrecen. During my university years, it became clear to me that obstetrics and gynecology was the field I wanted to work in, especially the prevention and treatment of gynecological cancers. After university, I started working at the Gynecology Department of the National Institute of Oncology, where I became increasingly interested in the relationship between various cervical lesions and HPV infection.
In recent years, I have performed thousands of colposcopy examinations, which have helped me gain experience. I have participated in and continue to participate in numerous international conferences and training courses in order to broaden my horizons and provide the highest quality patient care possible. In the meantime, I can say that the recognition, monitoring and treatment of cervical lesions has become not only a professional challenge for me, but also my mission.
I am proud to have co-authored the first Hungarian-language HPV book, which was published in 2020 as a gap-filling publication.
