On the occasion of World Ovarian Cancer Day, the organizations fighting the disease draw attention to the symptoms of ovarian cancer, to regular gynecological examinations, and thus to the prevention of the disease.

Unfortunately, it is considered one of the most common female diseases both in our country and in the world, the exact causes of which are not clear to this day, apart from the fact that it can be related to reproduction and follicular rupture.

Although the symptoms of ovarian cancer can easily be confused with other diseases, it is extremely important to participate in regular gynecological examinations and thus recognize the disease at an early stage, because in an advanced stage the tumor can metastasize and spread to other organs, making treatment even more difficult.

Symptoms of ovarian cancer:

Ovarian cancer symptoms: Stomach and intestinal complaints, abdominal bloating, various bleeding disorders, pelvic pain, and lower back pain are common among the symptoms of ovarian cancer, however, in the early stages, there are no characteristic symptoms that clearly indicate this disease.

Ovarian cancer treatments currently include surgery and chemotherapy, but unfortunately, in many cases, these treatments do not stop the recurrence and further spread of the cancer at an advanced stage.

In each case, the specialists make the type of recommended treatment dependent on the size and location of the tumor, the extent and location of the spread of cancer cells, and the patient's physical condition.
