I'M HEALTHY, YET I'M NOT PREGNANT

One of the most important decisions in a couple's life is when they decide to have children. Nowadays, more and more women start to live more consciously, eat healthier and exercise regularly even before the "trials" begin. However, if the baby is not conceived after a few sessions together, they already think the worst, that they might not be able to have children because they are infertile.

On the one hand, the situation is not that simple, but you don't have to immediately think of the worst. Unfortunately, many people think that life is unfair, because those who are afraid of pregnancy sometimes find themselves in an unexpected pregnancy, while those who consciously prepare for the baby do not come together after several months of trying. Unfortunately, this is partly true, but every person is affected differently by the ever-increasing health-damaging environmental effects, as well as the risk of having children that is being pushed back to later. This does not mean that the couple who do not succeed the first time cannot have a child, but in the case of unsuccessful attempts after one year in regular married life, over the age of 35, and in the case of certain medical history (endometriosis, pelvic inflammation in the past, etc.) .) and after half a year, it is recommended to start the investigation of possible causes and, if necessary, the treatment.

If you have only recently decided that you want a child and have gone through a few unsuccessful attempts, it is recommended that you consider and follow the following steps:

The period of ovulation

If we are aware (and in this case it is strongly recommended to be aware) when we ovulate, it is worth trying a few days before and after ovulation, because this is when we are most fertile. This does not mean that we definitely cannot get pregnant at another time, however, due to the changes in the uterus during this period, the chances of conceiving a child are higher.

Stress-free everyday life

Nowadays, we are exposed to new stress every day, in addition to the fact that tension may often occur at work or in our environment. It is important that when we decide that we want to start a family, we consciously reduce the stress around us, because stress has a serious effect on our body as well as on our ovulation. Let's relax, do yoga, do sports, and spend calm evenings and days with our partner! At home, let's at least try to forget the stress we had before, and don't cringe if the baby doesn't come together the first time.

Lifestyle change

When we decide with our partner that we want to start a family, it is important that, if we have not done so before, we start the lifestyle change. Let's eat healthier, start taking pregnancy vitamins recommended by our specialist, exercise regularly, and avoid smoking, alcohol and caffeine consumption, as these can all have a negative effect during attempts (reduced egg count, fewer sperm) and also after conception they can be dangerous for the healthy development of our child.

If the previously mentioned half, or normally 1-year "trial period" has passed and we still did not get pregnant, and we persuaded ourselves and of course our partner to consult an infertility specialist, it is important to know that although most of the first-step examinations for women are carried out by their gynecologist can also be performed, however, in the case of infertility tests, the health status of both the man and the woman is scrutinized. In the case of women, in the first round, the specialists examine whether she is ovulating, if the results of the cancer screening and the screening for venereal diseases are in order. After that, their hormone levels are also checked through a blood test. In the case of men, a sperm sample is used to check whether there is an adequate amount of healthy sperm.

If, during the initial examinations, the infertility specialist recognizes a problem preventing conception, he can suggest the next step accordingly, which of course varies from individual to individual and from couple to couple, but in the vast majority of cases, the következők lehetnek:

HYCOSY

Common tests include HYCOSY, i.e. the patency test of the fallopian tubes, which can often be blocked due to various antecedents and diseases, and as a result, the egg and sperm cannot meet

Ovulation induction

If the mother-to-be does not ovulate, that is, she misses ovulation, the doctor may recommend ovulation induction, which is a hormonal treatment to support the growth and maturation of the oocytes.

Artificial insemination

If the previously listed examinations have been carried out, the woman has ovulated, her fallopian tubes are permeable, and the man also has healthy and sufficient sperm, then the infertility specialist may sometimes recommend the possibility of artificial insemination. The two best-known forms of this are insemination and the flask program.

Insemination

During insemination, the sperm is artificially introduced directly into the uterine cavity during ovulation, however, fertilization occurs naturally in the womb of the future mother.

Flask program

During the flask program, the eggs taken from the expectant mother are fertilized with the sperm taken from the expectant father and placed back into the mother's womb.

Unfortunately, no form of artificial insemination is 100% guaranteed to be successful the first time, and it also requires patience and serious mental preparation, but if it succeeds, the couple can begin a new and one of the happiest phase of their lives.
